wwFlatirons Parents,

We’re almost through the most challenging month (in regard to practice schedules) of February. Thank you for your patience!

I’ve got lots of news to share . . .
Tomorrow night (Fri.Feb.21) is the last Mindfulness Training. We’ll be combining the snow-cancelled lesson so the evening will end at 7:30pm. Hope to see you at the Eldorado Cafetorium. Start time is 6:15pm.

The Rocky Mountain Region is experiencing challenges with scheduling Power Tournament sites. Be certain to check your site assignment as it gets closer to the tournament date. Facility info and rules are posted on the RMR site: www.rmrvolleyball.org
Click on More+ then click on “Facility Info”. Scroll down to your assigned site.

Coaches are meeting individually with players to share viewpoints on the season. Please ask your daughter if she’s met with her coach and how it went.

With Spring Break just ahead, ask your daughter to remind her coach if she’ll be missing a tournament. Although the deadline for notification was Dec. 1, it’s imperative to know as soon as possible so alternative line ups and practice plans can be implemented.

Tim Wompey, Flatirons 14 National Head Coach, was in a serious car accident at the end of January. He sustained several injuries and has had surgeries. His daughter Elizabeth was with him when the accident occurred. He had just picked her up from DIA to attend his mother’s funeral the following day. Elizabeth, a college athlete, also suffered injuries and has had multiple surgeries. A CaringBridge site has been set up for them. Go to www.CaringBridge.org  and enter Wompey. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to all the RMR Showdown teams! Coaches report a tremendous surge in improvement over the course of the weekend. A huge Thanks! to parents for driving, cheering, supplying and supporting the teams!

Crossroads information will be arriving soon.
